All I Can Do Is Tri

First things first.

I did a nice 3 mile run today after class.

There’s the start of the trail I usually run.

I took Uri with me, of course. It was in the lower 30’s and flurring a little so I did dress warm…apparently too warm. I had on under armour leggings and a shirt, pants over top, and a t-shirt, sweatshirt, headband, and gloves.

The gloves are really what killed me, ha ha. Apparently i’m not a glove runner. My hands sweat and I have to pull them off around halfway. The sweatshirt was a little much as well today. Apparently 30ish degrees is still warm if you’re running!!!

The 3 miles were pretty good aside from the overheating. Uri was acting up a little bit today though. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s Uri once we got home.

I have a little pain in my left quad still and now some in my right hip flexor. I’ve been stretching so hopefully it will calm down.

In other news…I’m thinking about going to the Triathlon Team’s meeting tonight on campus…My trainer is a member and I met some other members today…and I really want to do it…

We shall see. I might give it a tri. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I’ve always wanted to do a Tri. Hope the meeting went well!

  2. Haha.. back home at 30ยฐ I would more often than not still be in shorts! But ALWAYS gloves – I hate having cold hands!!

AWESOME DECISION on the tri team!! We have one here too that is pretty decent, and if anything turns out where I can’t go back to marathoning because of the distance.. I’ve thought about becoming a bamf at the sprint tri distance. I just gotta learn how to bike… ๐Ÿ˜‰
